CONSUR: Chile v Uruguay Team Lists

The match day 23s for both Chile and Uruguay have been announced. The two South American countries will meet in Santiago del Chile on Saturday with the winner being crowned champion of the four nations tournament. Los Condores and Los Teros are both coming off victories against Brazil and Paraguay and the head coaches have underlined the importance of Saturday's fixture by both naming strong teams. Uruguay will play in Rugby World Cup 2015 while Chile, like Uruguay, is one of six countries included in the new professional Pan American competition set to get underway in February 2016.

Uruguay's preparation for a return to the Rugby World Cup continues this Saturday with a home international against South American rivals Chile. Head coach Pablo Lemoine has provided a strong indication that he is settled on selection by naming fourteen of the same fifteen players that started against the USA Select XV in a non-capped international match on April 23.

The one change to the team sees the return of regular captain, Nicolás Klappenbach at hooker. Uruguay is, therefore, very close to being at full strength to face Chile. Missing are players based abroad who remain on club duty in Europe. In the absence of Klappenbach back-rower Diego Magno captained the side. The pair together with Rodrigo Capó Ortega are the three leaders Lemoine will likely look to in England and Wales.

Saturday's match in Santiago is scheduled for a 5pm kick-off local time. It is to be Uruguay's final away test match before leaving South America for the Rugby World Cup warm-ups and the tournament itself. Before playing in Japan and Europe Uruguay will take-on to Argentina next Saturday, August 16 and then host Fiji on May 23 and 31. All three matches will be played at the Estadio Charruá in Montevideo.
