For the third consecutive Rugby World Cup Argentina and Georgia will play each other in a pool match. In 2007 the Eastern Europeans played their first match on a Tuesday September 11 against an Argentine side backing up from facing France on Friday September 07. Played in Lyon Georgia played very well keeping Argentine tryless in the first half. The South Americans took their time and eventually scored with Lucas Borges crossing for two of his team's four tries. Borges retired from rugby last month. A testimony match was played in his honor in Buenos Aires at his club Pucará. The club is home to current Puma Manuel Montero who appears to carry on the tradition at Rugby World Cups. During his career played professionally in France and Italy and did so for Stade Français, Dax, Albi and  Treviso. Borges played 32 tests from 2003-2010, starting five matches for Argentina in Rugby World Cup 2007.
