Retro Friday: Felipe Contepomi scores 31 points v France in 2010

Coming of a home series defeat against Scotland in 2010 Argentina hit back to record a record-breaking 41-13 win over France in Buenos Aires. At the helm was captain Felipe Contepomi (pictured to the right) who scored two tries and kicked eight goals for the South Americans. His first try was nominated by World Rugby for the International Try of the Year. Contepomi is the all-time leading point scorer for Argentina. He scored 651 points for Los Pumas from 1998-2013 and with 87 test match appearances he is also the most capped Puma. Had Argentina joined the Rugby Championship earlier Contepomi would surely be one of the world's most caped players with well over 100 caps.
