Friday evening's Top 14 match in Toulon saw Bayonne compete strongly. Bayonne was unable to win but demonstrated a quality of rugby that should be able to see the club avoiding relegation. At the helm of fly half was former Puma Santiago Fernández who directed trafic well and was inventive as shown by the following video. Fernández had a strong match in general. A well directed kick-return saw the former Hindú and Montpellier fly half combine with Martín Bustos Moyano for a try. Capped 32 times by Argentina Fernández was a surprize omission from the Rugby Championship squad and remained in France throughout 2014.
