Having recently turned 32 Todd Clever brought to a close his five years of playing professional rugby in Japan. The U.S. captain spent two seasons with Suntory Sungoliath and three with the NTT Shining Arcs. During his time in the Asian country he became a Japanese Champion by inning the 2012 Top League title with Suntory. Clever also played professional rugby in both South Africa and New Zealand. He is now back home in Northern California playing for Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) in the Pacific Rugby Championship. In September-October of this year Clever is expected to be named in the USA Eagles squad for a Rugby World Cup. He could also return to play Rugby Sevens for the USA and do so at the Olympic Games in 2016. In the following video the highly talented Clever brushed off two would be Chinese tacklers to score in Hong Kong.
