29 year old Gastón Cortes has been enjoying a fine season of professional rugby in England's second division. The four-time capped Argentine tighthead prop is pushing for further international duty. Cortes signed a new one year contract with Bristol in May 2014. He has made nine RFU Championship appearances for Bristol this season, most recently facing Yorkshire Carnegie on January 23. In total he has played 44 times for Bristol since arriving in 2012. Bristol is widely expected to win promotion to the Aviva Premiership. Cortes played for Los Jaguares in 2014 putting him in the frame as a posibility to play under Daniel Hourcade in 2015.
