The performances of ten time capped Argentine fly half Benjamín Urdapilleta in France have been recognized with the 28 year old winning the Midi Olympique player's Oscar award. This season Urdapilleta is the second highest point scorer in the Top 14 and has scored over half of Oyonnax's points. He arrived at the eastern French club Oyonnax from Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership whom he played for from 2010-2012. The move saw him playing for a team in the second division but Urdapilleta was instrumental in changing this as Oyonnax won promotion in 2013 and avoided relegation in 2014. The club is currently in ninth position and Urdapilleta is pushing for a return to international duty in time for Rugby World Cup 2015 in England and Wales.
