History was made earlier today as Racing Métro qualified for the Quarter Finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup for the first time in history. The Hauts-de-Seine club defeated the 2014 Engliush champions the Northampton Saints convincingly by scoring four tries to one in a 32-8 victory. Heavily involved in the win was Argentine winger Juan Imhoff who scored the first two tries of the match as he crossed either side of half time. The result sees Racing Métro finish the group phase on 24 points and as the number one seed it will face the eighth placed qualifier which is likely to be one of either Saracens or the Wasps.
