Californian Samu Manoa is arguably the leading USA rugby player in the world today. During his three previous seasons in the Aviva Premiership the twenty-nine year old has firmly been among the best players in England. Indeed in 2013 The Guardian named Manoa as the best player in the Aviva Premiership and he wes named in the Aviva Premiership Dream Team in both team season prior (2011-2012) and after (2013-2014) , thus confirming his status as a world class athlete. Manoa's abilities are complemented by him also being very popular as he won back-to-back supporters' player of the season awards at Northampton. This past weekend he scored his fifth try of the season when he crossed in the 9th minute against Benetton Treviso in a third round match of the European Rugby Champions Cup. The USA Eagle controlled the ball from the back of a maul and after going close scored from a pick-and-go two phases later.
