USA powerhouse forward Samu Manoa produced a top-shelf performance for a fourteen man Northampton Saints team on Saturday as his team defeated the Leicester Tigers in a round 10 Aviva Premiership fixture. With Northampton captain Dylan Hartley having been red carded for foul play the Saints required strong performances from the team to come away with a positive result and Manoa did not disappoint. The ten time capped Californian played well and provided a memorable moment by putting in a trademark hard-hit on Australian Julian Savea in the 56th minute. The tackle produced a knock-on giving Northampton a scrum feed near the half way line. Having played 73 times for Northampton over four seasons the American is to join French champions Toulon after Rugby World Cup 2015.
