International Rugby: Jerónimo De la Fuente scores v Italy

Créditos: Giuseppe “Pino” Fama - UAR
In making his first test start for the senior Pumas team Jerónimo De la Fuente had a match to remember as the Rosario mid-fielder crossed for Argentina's second try to give the South Americans the lead. The try was scored in the 58th minute and saw Los Pumas take the lead for the first time after Italy had enjoyed the better of play for the majority of the match but had been unable to convert pressure into tries. De la Fuente's score came from a penalty in which scrumhalf and captain Tomás Cubelli took a quick tap and advanced before spinning the ball to Juan Martín Hernández. The Toulon signing then attracted defender Kelly Haimona before putting De la Fuente into a gap which saw him run untouched from thirty-five metres out.

  1. Paul it was his second test in the starting XV of Los Pumas, remember the June test Match against Ireland in Chaco when he was as outside centre. This try against Italy was a beauty, good vison of what he has infront from Cubelli, he deserve the 9 of Argentina is like a "Mini-Pichot" he get up the level of Los Pumas and when is Landajo it's a joke the poor passes from the ruck that he does or to strong or to high. I send you a big hug Paul from San Juan, the born place of Juan Cruz Guillemain. have a nice week
