Australia began the Michael Cheika era with a narrow, four point victory against the Barbarians in London earlier this afternoon. The 40-26 victory featured eleven tries and involved were three Pumas. Tomás Cubelli (pictured to the right) started the match at scrumhalf, Matías Alemanno was a 49th minute replacement in the second-row while Joaquín Tuculet replaced Springbok mid-fielder Juan de Jongh in the 53rd minute. All three players played well and are in contention to face Scotland next Saturday in what is the first of three test matches for Los Pumas in Europe this month. The trio are to meet up with the remainder of the Pumas squad in Edinburgh. The domestic squad members flew out from Ezeiza this afternoon.
