Argentina's A side, Los Jaguares defeated the A side of the United States of America, the USA Select XV by a scoreline of 41-14 to open this year's edition of the Americas Rugby Championship on Saturday in Canada. The six tries to two victory featured a double from winger Dan Isaak while Facundo Isa, Matías Díaz, Joaquín Paz and Patricio Fernández also all crossed for tries. Fernández is considered by many to be ahead of European based fly halves making him Argentina's back-up option at fly half to Nicolás Sánchez. In addition to his try he landed a penalty and four conversions. The USA's two tries were scored by Eagles' players Tim Maupin and Chad London with Adam Siddall adding the extras.
