Los Teros headcoach Pablo Lemoine has named a strong lineup for tomorrow's Rugby World Cup elimination qualifier against Hong Kong in Montevideo. The South Americans are seeking a return to the World Cup for the first time since 2003 while Hong Kong is looking to play in a Rugby World Cup for the first time in history. In terms of experience and IRB World Rankings Uruguay is the favorite to advance to the Play-Off Final. Also playing on Saturday will be Russia and Zimbabwe. The winner of the match in Siberia is to face the Uruguay or Kong Hong in September and October.

Uruguay's side is stronger than the team that defeated Russia 13-6 in the recent IRB nations Cup in Romania. In comparison to the side that featured against the Russian Bears there are three returning players. Felipe Berchesi is back to start at fly half and Agustín Ormaechea returns at scrumhalf to give Los Teros their impressive halves unit. All returning is Matías Palomeque who will start in the second-row.

Despite the reinforcements Uruguay is still without four players of note. The trio of Mario Sagario, Leandro Leivas and Andrés Vilaseca, who were all involved in the qualification matches against the USA, remain sidelined. Also missing is Rodrigo Capó Ortega who is involved in preseason training with Castres Olympique in France. A win for Uruguay should see all four involved in the final phase of repecharge.
