In Rugby World Cup 2007 the match between Wales and Canada saw the Tier Two side push the Tier One side and hold the lead on multiple occasions. The Canadians scored the first try of the match with Jamie Cudmore crossing and the Canadians also crossed for the first try of the second half when Morgan Williams dived over from the base of a ruck. In performing commentary for ITV4 during the match former English international Will Greenwood called it a catastrophe for Wales. At the time Wales was yet to score a try and were under pressure with Canada hungry to open the World Cup in style. In the end, though, it was the European team that came out on time as a strong final quarter from Wales saw an upset avoided.
