Retro Friday: Rodrigo Roncero scores against Italy in 2012
In his final season of international competition Rodrigo Roncero underlined himself as one of rugby's all time greatest loosehead props. The former Stade Français captain completed his twelve year professional career to return home to represent Argentina in a June International against Italy. He scored a memorable try and one that few props can list on their resume's. Roncero received the ball fifteen metres out and got past four players to score a try reminiscent of a centre. Having impressed in the San Juan and Córdoba tests Roncero was asked to stay on for the Rugby Championship campaign where he was one of the leading South American players at the age of 35.
