Retro Friday: Santiago Fernández scores against South Africa in 2012
2014 marks the third year of Argentina's participation in the Rugby Championship. The South Americans are under heavy pressure to win matches and new Headcoach Daniel Hourcade, has taken measures to increase the possibility. In Argentina's first two years in the competition Los Pumas narrowly lost three matches against Australia and one against South Africa in addition to also competing to a draw against the men in green. The 16-16 draw in Mendoza was Argentina's first home fixture. Scoring for Argentina was Santiago Fernández who crossed for his country's debut try in the competition. He has been left out of the 2014 squad currently training in Pensacola, Florida but could return at a later point in time. Argentina will host Australia this year in Mendoza.
