Having defeated Australia in both the 2012 and 2013 IRB Junior World Championships the 2014 fixture between the sides in New Zealand was one in which the South Americans entered as the favorites. Australia, though, played some impressive rugby to control play and open the 2014 Junior World Championship with a 36-17 victory. Argentina is to now look to strike back in the second pool fixture to be played against Italy on Friday. Australia will face England in a possible match to determine who wins the group.
