The Daniel Hourcade coaches Pumas played their final test of the month on Friday. The South Americans were looking to overturn narrow losses against European champions, Ireland by hosting the fifth ranked Europeans, Scotland in Córdoba. Remarkably the test match was the first between the nations since the nail-bitting pool match in Wellington as part of Rugby World Cup 2011. Argentina won the fixture that day 13-12 with Lucas González Amorosino scoring the best try of the tournament. González Amorosino did so from the bench which meant the only Puma to have started both tests was second-rower Manuel Carizza. Geoff Criss, Ross Ford and Nick da Luca started both tests for Scotland. The teams will meet again on November 8 of this year in Edinburgh.
