The two winning countries from round one of the 2014 South American Championship will face-off this Saturday in the Southern most Brazilian state, Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil will host neighbors Uruguay having made history by defeating Chile for the first time ever in an official test match. While Uruguay is coming off an opening victory against Paraguay in Asunción.
Los Teros headcoach Pablo Lemoine has named his twenty-three man squad to travel to Brazil. The squad features a total of seven changes from that which defeated Paraguay this past Saturday. Missing from the squad are Rodolfo de Mula, Nicolás Klappenbach, Mathías Braun, Francisco Vecino, Santiago Martínez, Federico Favaro and Agustín Alonso.
They have been replaced by Alejo Corral, Arturo Avalo, Diego Magno, Gastón Mieres, Alejando Nieto, Pedro Deal and Santiago Gibernau and as such Uruguay arguably has a stronger sqaud for Brazil than was the case against Paraguay.
Uruguay's squad will travel by bus to Bento Gonçalves on Thursday evening. The city is located 900KM to the north of Montevideo where Los Teros have been training. It is regarded in Brazil as being a rugby stronghold. The match will kick-off at 2pm local time and be broadcasted live in Brazil on Sportv2.
