Nacional de Clubes: Round Two Results

The second round of Argentina´s national club competition, the Nacional de Clubes was played on Saturday. With sixteen teams divided into four pools there there are only five undefeated sides in the competition after just two rounds. Involved in the competition are clubs from throughout the country and the teams to have won both their matches thus far are from Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario and Tucumán.

Involved in the matches were not only the best Argentine club teams but also some players of great note - players to have played in Rugby World Cups. Playing fly half for Newman v Alumni was the most capped Argentine player in test rugby history, Felipe Contepomi. Others to have played in Rugby World Cups included Hindu´s Hernán Senillosa and Julio Farías Cabello who is back playing for Tucumán RC.
