Rugby's fastest man, Carlin Isles scores six tries in two in Wellington

USA Sevens star Carlin Isles scored some impressive tries for his country in the Wellington Sevens played this past weekend in New Zealand. The twenty-four year old ran in six tries in the two day event but could not prevent his country from failing to achieve the desired results.

The Wellington Sevens was another tournament in which the USA Eagles failed to perform to the standards required. Not for the first time this season the USA Eagles Sevens team missed out on competing in either a Cup Semi Final a Bowl Semi Final. Instead the North Americans were involved in the Shield. This season the USA has lost a number of matches by small margins such as the 14-12 loss against France on day two in Wellington.

There have, however, been a number of players to have enhanced their reputation and possible USA Eagles call-ups exist for a number of players ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015. The likes of Danny Barrett and the goalkicking playmaker Madison Hughes have previously shown their abilities but now in the Sevens environment they are able to be tested to a greater extent than previously and are emerging as options for the USA in the back-row and at

Another is the Detroit Lions bound Carlin Isles who impressed with six tries in the tournament by showcasing his velocity. The speedster from Ohio ran in tries against Argentina, Scotland, Portugal and Spain as the USA won the Shield.
