Pampas XV named for second warm-up fixture

Argentina´s future Super Rugby team, Los Pampas XV will play a second warm-up match in Australia this Saturday ahead of the Pacific Cup. The South Americans will play their first match in the Pacific Cup against Brumbies A on Sunday March 2. 


Coached by Martín Gaitán and Raúl Pérez Los Pampas XV are set to play against Gen Blue on Saturday afternoon in Australia. The fixture is to conclude the Argentine players preperation for the Pacific Cup and, as such the team named for the fixture features some interesting choices. 

A number of junior Pumas, or Pumitas, have been selected including two players tipped to be in the senior team and starting as soon as this year Patricio Fernández and Santiago Cordero. The Racing Métro contrated Tomás Lavanini is another junior player of note included while others to have come through the domestic system and have demonstrated their abilities include Tomás de La Vega, Matías Orlando, Matías Alemanno and captain Tomás Cubelli. The selection of Cubelli sees the Belgrano scrumhalf replacing Martín Landajo whom captained the side against the Western Force last weekend. 

The match will be played at 1am Argentine time.
