The UAR to get new High performance Centre in Buenos Aires

Leinster´s High Performance Training Facilities
During the Seven de la Republica which took place to bring an end to the rugby season in Argentina, Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) President Luis Castillo told Argentine rugby site Scrum that confirmed that the UAR is to get its own High Performance Centre complete with a building and facilities in Ezeiza, Greater Buenos Aires.

The building is to be next to the home of the Asociación del Fútebol Argentino (AFA) which is the governing body of Argentine soccer. Argentine rugby will thus have its headquarters next to those of the country´s national sport. The size of the area is to be 30 hectares and will enable Argentine rugby to close the gap that exists between itself and its Rugby Championship rivals.

The new national training centre will be used for all of Argentina´s representative rugby teams. An official announcement is yet to come from the UAR itself. Pumas based abroad have long complainied of the lack of facilities in the country and it appears that their concerns have been heard.
