The teams ranked seventh and tenth in the IRB World Rankings faced-off at the home of Welsh rugby, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday. With both teams facing top level competition regularly and both having reputable players it was, on paper, a match to look out for. Instead the visiting team had a day to forget as for the second week in a row it failed to score a try but conceded many. Argentina was without luck in being 20 points down early on but was unable to fight back as Wales showed why it is European champion. Los Pumas failed to produce the kind of rugby that had seen the South Americans defeat Wales one year earlier as this time around the Welsh were in firm control and won the match by a record margin. Wales can now look to win three in a row with Tonga and Australia yet to visit the Millennium Stadium.
