Injured Pumas captain Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe will be at Twickenham on Satutrday to cheer on the Juan Manuel Leguizamón led side. He will gladly support his players but in a bitter-sweet manner due to him not being able to take the field. He can, however enjoy his recovery after being awarded the extremely notable plaudit of European Player of the Year by French Magazine Midi Olympique.
Fernández Lobbe has previously been named in both the Top 14 and Aviva Premiership team of the season and his latest accolade underlines his credibility and standing as one of the world´s best rugby players. His form throughout Toulon´s championship winning Heineken Cup season in 2012-2013 was consistently strong and his turn-over in the final against Clermont was instrumental in winning the trophy.
Soon to turn 32 years old Fernández Lobbe is in good standing to lead Argentina at Rugby World Cup 2015. Without him Daniel Hourcade is set to field veteran Julio Farías Cabello on the side of the scrum. The 35 year old from Tucumán will retire at the completion of the soon to begin European tour. Fernández Lobbe, will be back in action in time for the play-offs of the Heineken Cup. Toulon, though, will likely have to qualify for the Quarter Finals without the Pumas skipper.
