Despite playing the Maori All Blacks last Sunday the official start of Canada´s end of year tour took place yesterday in Tbilisi, Georgia. It was only the second ever match between the two IRB defined Tier Two nations in the former Soviet Republic and may be the final match for quite some time after Viktor Kolelishvili tackled Liam Underwood very dangerously which ended Underwood´s match and resulted in an all-out brawl which involved virtually every player from both teams. Canada left Tbilisi not only unhappy with having Tyler Ardron red carded without merit but also with not having scored a try. All of Canada´s points were scored through the boot with Underwood and Harry Jones sharing the honors. Previous outings between the nations have all seen Canada score with the North Americans winning 42-10 in the USA in 2009 and 31-12 in Vancouver in 2012. Canada will face Romania next Saturday while Georgia will host the USA.
