Earlier today Canada began its end of year tour with a rare November home fixture in hosting the Maori All Blacks in a non-international in Toronto. The fully professional team of New Zealanders were too strong for a Canadian team that was far from being the genuine test side. With the match played outside of the November international window not all players were released from clubs and Canada´s side was far from being at full strength. As such Canada was not able to compete as well as would likely have been the case in the event that the top Canadian players had all been involved. The occassion, though was history making as a record crowd of 22,566 was in attendance at BMO Field to give Canada its largest ever crowd for a rugby match.
