The Argentine A side, Los Jaguares, to face Uruguay in round two of the Americas Rugby Championship in Canada has been named. Head coach Danuel Hourcade has made eleven changes from the side that faced the USA Selects in the opening fixture winning 27-9 on Friday evening.
The four players retained from the tournament opener are second-rower Matías Alamanno, back-rower Martín Chiappesoni and backs Joaquín Tuculet and Matíaz Orlando. Tuculet will again captain the side but will do so from the wing rather than fullback while Orlandi will play in his normal position of outside centre after he was used as a winger against the USA.
The highly promising 19 year old Patricio Fernández will start the match at fly half while other players of note will also be in the run-on side such as back-rower Fidel Lamy and winger Dan Issack. Pumas tighthead prop Matías Díaz will be one of a number of notable players on the bench with the players having an opportunity to press for inclusion in the November tour of England, Italy and Wales.
The match will kick-off this evening at 10pm Argentine time. It can be viewed live by clicking here.
