England set to play Argentina in Salta and Buenos Aires

Salta likely to host the first test
Although the UAR is yet to confirm the official venues for Argentina´s three home test matches this coming June it is becoming clearer as to where the matches will be played. Buenos Aires has been all but announced as the city to host the first test and the date of it has been confirmed for June 08. The second test has been rumoured to going to one of Mar del Plata, Salta, Santa Fé or Tucumán. All these venues have hosted Pumas matches in the Santiago Phelan coaching era. Mar del Plata played host to Scotland in 2010, Salta to England in 2009, Santa Fé to Stade Français in 2012 and Tucumán to Scotland in 2010 and to France in 2012. One of them is highly likely to host England and another Georgia with both nations visiting Argentina in June.

Reports from Argentina indicate that Salta is certain to not only host one of the English tests but that it will be on June 08, meaning the date for the Buenos Aires test will be moved. Four officials of the RFU have been in Salta recently to check on the facilities at ther Estadio Padre Martearena and the city´s hotels and training facilities. Their visit appears to have gone smoothly and it would appear that the UAR will shortly confirm that Salta will indeed host England. The RFU officials appear to be asking for a change though as they would like the first test to be played in Salta to allow the team to fly out from Buenos Aires easily after the second test on June 15.
