Martín Bustos Moyano to play for Bayonne

The form of Argentine winger Martin Bustos Moyano for Montpellier this season has been strong like it was in the previous two but he will not be playing for the French club next season. Instead the one time capped 27 year old will be playing next season for Bayonne. In moving to Bayonne he will be the first Argentine player at the club since 2007 when former Pumas Nicolás Fernández Miranda and José Maria Nuñez Piossek were playing their rugby there. The new contract sees him follow Agustín Creevy and possibly Santi Fernández in leaving Montpellier. The club is not happy with the non-availability of Pumas players during the Rugby Championship while Creevy´s move to the Worcester Warriors came with the happy happy for him to represent his country at all times. Bayonne´s offer to Martín Bustos Moyano sees him recieving better pay than at Montpellier as he had offers from both clubs and opted to take up a fresh challenge. Bayonne is not only going to pay him a superior salary but will also release him for The Rugby Championship should he be selected.

Bustos Moyano´s one test cap came in 2008 against Chile. Since then he has been unlucky to have been overlooked as he is one of Argentina´s most reliable goalkickers. He was in the Pumas squad in 2012 but never made the match day 22. In his first season in France he saw Montpellier reach the Top 14 final for the first time after he kicked the club to a Semi Final victory over Racing Métro in Marseilles, as seen in the photo. Bustos Moyano is highly likely to start at fullback or on the wing for Argentina against England in June. It would be a team missing a lot of players due to the agreement between the UAR and the LNR of player release for The Rugby Championship.
