The international comeback of Gonzalo Tiesi was very successful as the former first choice Argentine outside centre played the full 80 minutes against Wales on Saturday. He came close to scoring a first half try and had a match to remember as he was victorious alongside long time close friend and former London irish and Stade Français teammate, Juan Manuel Leguizamón. The larger Welsh centres and wingers were looking to attack at Tiesi but his defensive effort proved to be an important part of Argentina´s win. One moment, however stodd out above all others from a Welsh perspective. In the 23rd minute Tiesi checked a run and collided with Jamie Roberts with the Welshman coming off second best. It ended his game as he was ni no condition to continue.
Tiesi is in the squad to face France on Saturday in Lille and is strong chance to retain the Pumas 12 jersey with Marcelo Bosch replacing Felipe Contepomi at inside centre. Bosch successfully replaced Tiesi at Rugby World Cup 2011 and was Argentina´s starting 13 throughout The Rugby Championship.
