Dario Germán Aráoz signs for Glasgow

This season has been a first for Scottish rugby in a long time. It is the first season in which there has been no Argentine player playing for either Edinburgh or the Glasgow Warriors. It has conme to an end however as the Glasgow Warriors have confirmed the arrival of 27 year old Dario Germán Aráoz as a medical joker. The contract is a shirt term deal for three months to ease the frontrow crisis that the team is currently going through. Should he get game time and take his chances he could be signed on as a full time player similar to other players to have come through the ranks.

Aráoz has been around the scene for quite some time as a member of Los Pampas XV and the PladAR system. Like Pumas great, Omar Hasan Aráoz is from the Northern Argentine city if Tucumán and similarly, both are tighthead props. He has played two times for Argentina. He made his international debut in May 2012 against Brazil in the South American Championship in Santiago del Chile. Three days latter he was a substitute against Chile.
