The IRB´s weekly rugby program, Total Rugby recently featured a piece on Pumas winger Gonzalo Camacho and his four brothers. All five are rugby players and the possibility exists for Gonzalo to play alongside one of his siblings at international level. Before becoming a professional, Gonzalo played for the Buenos Aires Cricket & Rugby Club, the home of three of his brothers. The youngest of whom is Ramiro who recently played for Argentina at under 18 level.
Gonzalo Camacho has impressed in the first two rounds of The Rugby Championship. He was named by Planet Rugby as the best number 14 from the second round of the tournament. His form has made it tough for fellow Argentine wingers with no place for Juan Imhoff or Martín Bustos Moyano in the team despite both having had tremendous seasons in the Top 14. Gonzalo Camacho has improved greatly since being exposed to professional rugby and is highly likely to be Argentina´s right winger for quite some time.
