Tomás Vallejos signs for Scarlets

Tomás Vallejos
27 year old Argentine international secondrower, Tomás Vallejos Cinalli has signed a contract to play rugby in Wales for Rabo Direct Pro 12 and Heineken Cup region, the Scarlets. As such he will be the only Argentine player in Wales. Manuel Carizza had been rumoured to be joining the Scarlets after not having resigned with Top 14 club Biarritz but the rumour seems to have been nothing more than confussion over which Pumas secondrower will be playing for the Llanelli based side. Vallejos joins the Scarlets after having played the past two years for the Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership. He was on the bench for the teams 2012 Premiership title. Before playing in England, Vallejos played in Italy from 2007-2010 for Parma. The same team is now the basis of the new Italian Rabo Direct Pro 12 franchise, Zebre.

Tomás Vallejos told his followers on twitter that he is happy because after a long negociation, finally he has signed with the Llanelli Scarlets and he is going to play for Los Pumas too. Vallejos is one of four secondrowers in the Pumas squad for The Rugby Championship. He has won one test cap, after debuting from the bench vs Georgia at Rugby World Cup 2011.

Contento porque después de una larga negociación, finalmente firme con Llanelli Scarlets y voy a poder jugar con Los Pumas también.
