Juan Cruz Guillemaín and Lisandro Gómez López join Stade Français

While threats have been made from European clubs about the future signings of Pumas players it seems that the clubs still cannot get enough of the young up and coming players. French club, Stade Français, has confirmed the signatures of two young Argentine players for the 2012-2013 season. Both players are uncapped but could well be Pumas in the making given their crendentials and experiences for Argentina at the non-test level.

Juan Cruz Guillemaín
Juan Cruz Guillemaín is currently in South Africa competing at the IRB Junior World Cup in South Africa for Argentina. The country´ under 20 campaign is making massive headlines around the rugby globe due to Los Pumitas´ victories over France and Australia in the first two rounds of the competition. Nevertheless he has a massive rugby future ahead of him as he has signed a contract to play in the French Top 14 for Stade Français. Firstly, however, he has the chance to help Argentina qualify as the winner of its pool in South Africa. Cruz Guillemaín will start in the teams game tomorrow vs Scotland. The San Juan secondrower also played in last years IRB Junior World Championship, hosted by Italy. The 20 year old stands at 1.97metres and weighs 107KG. His recruitment is outstanding news for the development of players in time for Rugby World Cup 2015. Questions remain over the make up of the squad with the teams leading secondrower, Patricio Albacete, to be 34 years old come England 2015.

Lisandro Goméz Lopéz
While the injury troubled Pumas centre, Gonzalo Tiesi will not play any more for Stade Français the club will have another Argentine centre with 24 year old Lisandro Goméz Lopéz also joining the Parisians. Like Guillemaín, Goméz Lopéz is also currently on international duty as he is in Romania playing for Los Jaguares (Argentina A) in the IRB Nations Cup. He has been named to start at outside centre for Los Jaguares´ second match of the IRB Nations Cup, vs Romania. It will see him form an exciting centres combination with Juan Pablo Socino to start at 12. Goméz Lopéz moves to France after coming thruogh the Argentine system. He has been able to grow as a player thanks to Los Pampas XV and Argentina´ Rugby Sevens team. He featured in this seasons Vodacom Cup and played Sevens for his country in 2011. Goméz Lopéz remains uncapped but his match vs Romania will be his third for Los Jaguares after he previously played against Georgia and Romania in 2011.
