Pumas Sevens First to wear Nike

Argentina Rugby´s move from Adidas supplied clothing to Nike was seen for the first time on players yesterday as Los Pumas´ Sevens team was seen warming up in Wellington for New Zealand´s Leg of the IRB World Sevens Series in Nike clothing. The uniform displayed on the above photograph was taken by a Brazilian at the Wellington Sevens event on Friday afternoon, local time. The Nike equipment was only used for prematch activities as when Argentina played the team´s uniforms featured no Nike or Adidas logos.

The South Americans played in different uniformes than normal as seen below. The following photgraph was taken by Analía Paván of the UAR during Argentina´s opening loss of the tournament vs Fiji. It was posted on the UAR´s official site.

Do you like the look?

  2. the training one is cool, but the one they wear for the game vs Fidji...let's hope it's just for the sevens, we look like Samoa there.
if we lose our horizontal-striped albiceleste shirt, we lose our identity :(

I hope that because Fidji plays in white, this is the 2nd kit

  3. I like the retro numbers and shade of blue. It's quite a unique combination with a modern look.

  4. Have you guys seen the new home strip? I find it disgusting that Nike threw away the hoops, and rather sad that the UAR allowed this. I'm not buying any Pumas home jersey until they bring the hoops back. Herejes!!
