Felipe Claro scores for Brazil vs England

Brazil´s appearance at the USA´s leg of the IRB World Sevens Series was a great accomplishment for the Portuguese speaking country. Brazil was out matched by teams with significantly larger funding and experience but the men in yellow went home happy and for SPAC scrumhalf, Felipe Claro, it was a dream come true as the man they call Alemão (German) went over for a try vs England. The try has been doing the rounds in Brazilian rugby circles with players from across the country posting the video and commenting on it on facebook.

It was the first try ever for Brazil vs England in a rugby match. However, given the growth of rugby in the country it is fair to say that Brazil will participate in many more international events. It is also important to point out that Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Olympic Games with Rugby Sevens appearing for the first time ever.
