The UAR announce Pre-Vodacom Cup plans for Los Pampas XV

Argentina´s High Performance Subcommittee has confirmed that Los Pampas XV will perform in Argentina before traveling to South Africa, where the team will defend the title it won last year, the Vodacom Cup. The Senior squad began training yesterday, with the Pladar players divided into their respective regions. In this regard, Martin Mackey, Director of National Physical Fitness, said that "each member in their respective center began with the training program and activity developed smoothly."

In addition, Mackey revealed that the work consists of and continues the activity as "the training that began in November and December, we developed five weeks of work with high loads and based only on physical (areas). Now we will keep the charges, but will also add the game, which consists of a morning doubleheader, with exercise, but also emphasizing the biomechanical (factors), as we will work on the game in the gym, and after an hour break, there will be more field exercises. That will be up to travel to South Africa, but we will combine with the concentrations to be ahead."

Coach Daniel Hourcade will hold his first National Meeting in Buenos Aires, on January 30th, 31st and February 1st which will feature the entire roster Seniors. Hourcade said  "I was in the Annex to SIC and was very satisfied because everyone was present and because everyone is very motivated. The same happened in all regions. I think the players have been very responsible over their rest period, and that is very positive."

"The first two weeks training in the physical and individual skills and mini units to the first concentration in Buenos Aires, which will start working on the game plan and then the application of developing attack," he added.

On the 9th, 10th and 11th of February there will be squad of approximately 23 men which will participate in a camp in Neuquen, which will have a friendly encounter. This activity will be repeated on the 16th, 17th and 18th of February in Tucuman, and the 23rd 24th and 25th of the same month in Rosario.

To conclude, the coach of the team that will represent Argentina in South Africa´s Vodacom Cup said that "we have 42 players available until mid-February and will analyze them to determine the squad that will travel to South Africa, and in case of doubts, we will use concentrations to analyze these players."
