Canadian hardman, Jamie Cudmore has signed a two year deal to remain at French club, Clermont until mid 2014. Known for his high tackle rate and the impact there of, Cudmore has a noticable reputation in Europe. The veteran secondrower / backrower has been an important member of the club for a number of years and played in every French final from 2007-2010. His first season with Clermont was in 2005 and has been regarded as Canada´s best exported player for the bulk of this time. His experience in France was considered invaluable by Canadian mens head-coach, Kieran Crowley at last years Rugby World Cup and his continuation at Clermont is likely to provide up -and-coming Canadian forwards with similar benefits.
Having played at three World Cup already, Cudmore could push for a forth but he will be aged 37 come Rugby World Cup 2015. Should his form continue then he has every chance of appearing in England 2015.
