Gonzalo Tiesi undergoes surgery

Tiesi for Stade Français
Argentina´s bad luck story of the season continues with outside centre, Gonzalo Tiesi having undergone surgery on a herniated lumbar disc.On twitter, Tiesi told his followers that he had decided to undertake surgery as he was experiencing a lot of pain in his right shoulder. He stateted that he was making the right decision for the future and that the rehabilitation time remains the same. he is now expected to be on the sidelines for three months. The time will enable him to fully recover and to to, as he said, come back better than before. His decision was made with The Rugby Championship in mind, which is to start in August.

After having had his World Cup ended in only the 33rd minute of Los Pumas´ first match of the tournament due to a knee injury, the Stade Français centre has had a complicated season in which he has barely played for the club and this has seen Biarritz´s Marcelo Bosch overtake him as the likely international outside centre for The Rugby Championship.

Try Tiesi vs Scotland, 2010
