Gabriel Bocca joins Beziers

Gabriel Bocca as a London Wasp
34 year old former Puma, Gabriel Bocca has become the lattest Argentine frontrower to be signed by a French club. The veteran has signed as a medical joker with Pro d2 side, Beziers as a replacement for Mathieu Gouagout who has been sideliend with a serious back injury. The former Pueyrredón prop will be playing in his third European country after previously having played for Cavalieri Prato and Calvisano in Italy and the London Wasps in England. Bocca played two test matches for Argentina in 1998. His debut was against Japan in Tokyo and his second and final test was in Asuncíon vs Paraguay.

Bocca will be linking up with two Argentine players in France with  Matías Narváez and Agustín Smidt both playing their rugby at Beziers.  The club is in grave danger of falling back to France´s third division, the Fédérale 1 as the side only has 18 championship points and is in fifteenth place out of sixteen. Remarkably, Beziers are one of France´s most successful sides but have suffered greatly in the professional era.
