Argentina Jaguares too strong for Uruguay

Argentina´s A team, known as Los Jaguares faced off against Uruguay earlier this afternoon in Buenos Aires in a friendly match and the home side proved to be far too strong in defeating Los Teros 87-12. The players representing Los Jaguares were all fighting for places in the 2012 Los Pampas XV team which will again compete in South Africa´s Vodacom Cup. Neither side was at full strength with the Argentine lineup missing players involved in play-off´s matches which are still on going in Buenos Aires and in the interior. Uruguay was missing players based abroad such as Castres secondrower, Rodrigo Capó Ortega. Los Jaguares scored thirteen tries with fullback Facundo Barrea and hooker Bruno Postiglioni both scoring hat-tricks., winger Matias Orlando also went over for two tries while five others scored including cvaptain, Mariano Galarza who is the only player to have represented Argentina at Rugby World Cup 2011.

The match marks the end of a traihning camp for Los Jaguares who are to be vastly different in 2011 after losing many players to professional contracts in England and France. The players are to get together again on November 21. Uruguay, on the other hand, is to tour Spain and Portugal to play international matches this month.
