Juan Imhoff moving to France
When Los Pumas Head-coach, Santiago Phelan, named Juan Imhoff in his squad of thirty players for Rugby World Cup 2011 there were many people asking why is he? Imhoff got the call up to the Argentine squad in place of European based professionals including last seasons wizard from Montpellier, Martin Bustos Moyano. His selection was on the back of impressive performances for Los Pampas XV in the Vodacom Cup in South Africa in which he was the top try scorer. In New Zealand 2011 Imhoff demonstrated exactly why he was selected as the young winger proved to have some extremely fast feet as he scored two tries and featured in every match for Argentina, albeit usually from the bench.
He has confirmed with Argentine sources that he is off to play in the French Top 14 but is yet to announce where. Rumors point to Racing Metro which would see the young winger join forces with three other Pumas - Juan Martin Hernandez, Juan Pablo Orlandi and Alvaro Galindo.
