Francisco Gómez Kodela signs for Biarritz
26 year old Francisco Gómez Kodela has become the lattest Argentine prop to play professional rugby in France after Basque club and French powerhouses, Biarritz offically announced his arrival at the club today. The tighthead prop joins from Buenos Aires club, Belgrano. In doing so he will join Argentine Rugby World Cup stars Marcelo Bosch and Manuel Carizza at the club. Whilst he lacks the international experience of Bosch and Cariiza, Gómez Kodela has played four international test matches for Argentina. He faced Chile and Uruguay in 2008 and again in 2011. His arrival is officially as a medical joker in place of injured English backrower, Magnus Lund. The club can count on his services immediately as Biarritz travel to Brive for a Round seven match on Friday. The club has been rumoured to also be interested in signing Canadian international backrower Adam Kleeberger.
