Former Argentina scrumhalf and captain at Rugby World Cup´s 2003 and 2007, Agustín Pichot, was inducted to the IRB Hall of Fame on Monday at a ceremony held at the Cector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. Pichot becomes the second Puma to join the elite Hall of Fame following former flyhalf, Hugo Porta. An emotional Pichot declared to Argentine journalists at the ceremony that "I am happy to be here. Many memories of my career have been passing through my mind. I would like to share this with the the that have always been at my side and are with me now". The former legendary scrumhalf has had a lot to do with the acceptance of Los Pumas in the Tri Nations, starting in 2012 which is an indication that the former Puma has only just begun his contribution to Argentine and global rugby.

There was also a Canadian added to the Hall of Fame with former Canadian international flyhalf and Captain, Gareth Rees, being inducted. Rees is regarded as one of the best and most important players that Canada has ever produced. he was involved in significan Canadian monets such as wins over Italy and Wales in the 1990´s.
