Veteran Pumas winger, Lucas Borges has been confirmed Argentina´s replacement player for the injured Gonzalo Tiesi after the outside centre was ruled out of the tournamnt following a knee injury in the first match vs England on Saturday. The decision of Santiago Phelan sees Borges reunite with his international teammates after he was left out of the initial squad of 20 players in preferene of the young Juan Imhoff. Lucas Borges was Argentina´s first choice right winger in France 2007 and he scored tries vs Georgia and Ireland. His nomimation ahead of Gabriel Ascárate means that Argentina will have one more winger but one less centre.
Borges is a former French champion, having won the Top 14 with Stade Français. He most recently played in the Pro d2 for Albi after previoulsly also playing in Italy.
