Los Pumas arrive in Dunedin

The Argentine international rugby team, Los Pumas, has arrived in Dunedin and settled into its hotel. The team were greeted at Dunedin´s airport by around 300 Argentine fans as well as locals. The team was welcomed by King's and Queen's High School who performed a Haka for the South Americans upon arrival. While the Argentine contingent greeted the players with a few verses of the Argentine National Anthem. The team arrived at 8pm, local time and, despite being tired from the long flight, were happy to talk to the media on arrival. Backrower, Genaro Fessia, filmed the haka while players including hooker Mario Ledesma, tighthead prop Martín Scelzo and outside centre Gonzalo Tiesi showed respect in silently recieving the welcome.Following the welceom, backrower Juan Manuel Leguizamón took photos with fans before the team departed to its hotel.

Argentina will take on England in its first World Cup match on September 10 at Otago Stadium in Dunedin.
