Rosario in line to host Argentina vs South Africa in Four Nations 2012

Rosario is a candidate to host Argentina´s home Four Nations encounter in 2012 vs the Springboks, according to a local source. The Unión de Rugby de Rosario (Rosario Rugby Union) has begun the tendency process set out by the UAR to be a host venue for Los Pumas vs South Africa. The UAR has given all venues interested in hosting matches the opportunity of presenting its case and will make a final decision after careful consideration. Rosario is a foavorable option having hsoted Argentina vs Scotland in 2008 in which Los Pumas played in front of a capacity crowd of over 40,000. The city was also a host venue for the 2010 IRB Junior World Championship alongside Santa Fé and Paraná.

Argentina´s other two home Four Nations matches are rumoured to be hosted by La Plata and Avallenada. The clash between Los Pumas and New Zealand going to the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata in La Plata and the match vs Australia being hosted at the Libertadores de América in Avellaneda, Greater Buenos Aires. The state of the art facility in La Plata has never hsoted an international rugby match while Avallenada hosted Argentina vs the French Barbarians in June 2011.
