Pablo Huerte to play for Castres

The professional career of Chilean international secondrower, Pablo Huerte is set to continue beyond the New Zealand Championship (ITM Cup) season because following the completion of the New Zealand season he is set to join French Top 14 side, Castres. The 22 year old will join the side has signed a contract to join Castres as a espoir, meaning he is an academy player. However with Castres set to be without Samoan international secondrower, Joe Tekori and Russian international secondrower, Kirill Kulemin who will be representing their countries at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. The move from Castres to sign a young player rather than go after a medical joker suggests that the club is interested in him for long term reasons, possibly to replace the aging Scott Murray. Interestingly, Huerte was spottedplaying on video by Laurent Travers while Travers was scouting a back row called Valeni Tiatia who in the end, signed for Oyonnax top play in the Pro d2.

Huerte´s move to Castres will see him link up with Uruguayn secondrower, Rodrigo Capo Ortega who has played for Castres since 2002.
